Our Ipe 2x12 is a wide, full-dimension board cut from FSC-certified Brazilian Ipe, the densest tropical hardwood we mill at the source facility. Kiln-dried for stability, it delivers the strength and minimal post-install movement that make Ipe the benchmark for demanding outdoor work where a standard deck board simply isn't enough. At 2 inches thick and a full 12 inches wide, this board is built for load-bearing and feature applications: stair stringers, bench tops, structural framing, planters, heavy benches, fascia, and signature accents. Like all Ipe, it weathers to a silver patina if left untreated, or holds a rich espresso tone with a periodic coat of hardwood oil.
